It’s Good Friday, not “Spring Day”


In some communities, for various reasons there have been periodic efforts exerted on some government authorities to eliminate the use of the term Good Friday; one reason being, it is said, that it’s use in effect is a way of preaching the Christian doctrine — but that obviously not everyone is Christian in a pluralistic society…

“In the year of our Lord … “, wording referring to the date of graduation on some university diplomas at Christian universities, is continually criticized by some as being at best insensitive to the graduating students who are not Christian, and at worse as an attempt to indoctrinate Christian values into students who might not be Christian…

Of course many already know the flak that arises from some at Christmas time when the term is used…

Common sense and knowledge of a nation’s historical foundation would surely help the unlearned.
