Potpourri Pan America: Headline news — from Open Borders to increasing taxes, and more

The shell game continues?

1.  Obama says to Calderon,  in essence, The USA is for Open Borders — no wonder Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano and the President continue to name-call the Arizona immigration law…  This seems like November election campaign tactics, to try to keep the Latino vote…

2.  A guest can critique the Arizona immigration law from the People’s House?!  — seems as though the  presidents’ speech writers collaborated…

3.  No doubt about it — voters showed on Tuesday past that voters are upset and are letting people in Washington know it…  But is the message being received?…

4.  President symbolically honors the press — but regularly shuts reporters out from access to important White House functions about which the public has a right to know…  The White House press corp and major press outlets are either simply failing to do their jobs or are so in awe of President Obama that they allow themselves to be steamrolled…

5.  Are the president and his advisors “playing” the publc — on May 10 on this page a review/critique was written about indications being that there was a push for Congress to raise taxes…  Now Paul Volcker, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, another of the president’s advisors, pushes the theme too…  Why didn’t he advise the president NOT to pass the massive, costly Healthcare bill knowing the new program would create another horrendous deficit problem?
