President’s aunt Zeituni Onyango gets preferential treatment?; and Presidential guest Calderon critiques

President Obama’s aunt enters the country illegally around year 2000, sometime later gets caught and receives deportation orders in 2004, but meanwhile she disappears so as to avoid being shipped out…  Years later when finally located, Mz Zeituni Onyango is living in government subsidized housing…  Then, represented by well-heeled attorneys, she appeals the deportation order and recently receives the ruling that she wants: she can stay in the United States of America…

Though there is a  strong pushback currently underway here against other illegal immigrants, there appears to be little adverse reaction against this lady who seemingly received preferential treatment…  Laws ought to be enforced evenly, not only against some, but against everyone to whom the law applies, including the president’s aunt…

Another indication of why people have a low opinion of bureaucrats and politicians…

On another news item of importance, Mexican President Felipe Calderon visits Washington D.C., speaks against American gun laws, drug use and the recently passed Arizona illegal immigration law [Obama says; reflects additional [weakness?]…  Specifically, Calderon does his critique at the White House and in Congress — and on The Hill receives a resounding reception from significant numbers of senators and representatives.

Considering the dire conditions in his country and the pressure his countrymen are undoubtedly placing on him, it is understandable that playing to his own electorate he would present his concerns in such a public way,… but being that he was speaking as a guest here, this country’s elected representatives ought have shown more decorum, been more reserved in receiving his comments…

Yet, again, another example of why people have a low opinion of politicians?…

Just sayin’…

  1. Regards the obama’s Aunt? Plenty of Conservatives have spoken out about that situation. I personally could care less where an illegal alien came from. I want them all removed. hell, it was an Irish citizen that stole my identity…

    Imagine that..?

    • Hey, Patrick… Your point is well taken…
To clarify, mainly the reference from this end was overall to national t.v. networks/cable programs that do not seem inclined to offer a “perspective” of the disposition of the case and to try to put it in a broader context…

  2. It is my understanding she had three orders and just ignored them in the perfect open borders/amnesty/sanctuary kind of way.
Even though I disagree with him point for point I do not believe Obama got involved.

  3. Re: Auntie Zeituni
By golly if your nephew is President of the United States and he won’t respond to your illegal situation, he would be roasted by his opponents.
Personally, I believe the part about living in subsidized government housing was over the top. He should have bought her a mobile home in a nice little park.
Seriously, ask yourself which is the greater crime? Come to the aid of a family member, or let them go through the system?
Obama’s choice saved him buckets of money.
