Republican Party Princes of Darkness: “‘Cut Palin off at the knees’, because we know best”…(?!)

Niccoló Machiavelli could give lessons to other Prince of Darkness Karl Rove ( and to other Republicans),  but civility and respectfulness is what GOPers need…

It seems Karl Rove, others of the G.O.P. ol’ guard (in concert with Bush 41 and his family), as well as other Party wannabe insiders, — plus some everyday decent independent and sincere conservatives —  are quite fearful of the influence of the little lady from Alaska,  and thus some operatives from the main bunch are campaigning  openly to cripple or destroy Sarah Palin as a political force within the Republican Party…

Whoa, not so fast folks, and no one like lemmings ought to follow the political thinking and machinations suggested in the opening paragraph for that unnecessarily is much too blunt and counterproductive in the long run…  Even Niccoló Machiavelli, who though would be piqued by the maneuvers alluded to above,  would shutter at the lack of duplicity employed by the participants aforementioned…

From one Prince of Darkness to another, Niccoló would say to Karl and company to chill and handle matters with distinctively more cunning….

But, more importantly, what everyday common sensical  folks would say is, ” Stalwart Party GOP men, treat Sarah Palin with respect, equality, equanimity,…and with an understanding that, like it or not, she represents a significant number of Tea Party Republicans who if alienated might be the reason Republicans again regress, as they have done in the recent past”…

Independents and others are important blocs, but don’t forget to “dance with who brung you.”…  And with their seeming haughtiness, Republicans guard that they not shoot themselves on the collective foot, or worse,  fire away at each other in a “circular firing squad”…

  1. “Darkly” amusing that the reigning “architects” of the Republican Party choose to deduce that they had real impact on the results of the November elections. They preen and ignore the growing dissatisfaction of the general public over the bipartisan canoodling that has resulted in our current national disarray.

I am not prepared to endorse Sarah Palin as the lead Presidential candidate for 2012, but I think that she can play a very productive role as a gadfly and Tea Party activist. The establishment needs a thorough housecleaning to make room for those up and coming revisionists who have intelligent, well-reasoned plans to bring our nation back to prosperity and security.

Ideologues be damned! Look for candidates with solutions and the will to move them forward.

    • Maine, you make a lot of sense in so many ways, and one that is so clear, but seemingly overlooked by the “architects”and some others is that if all she does is be a “:gadfly”, she could play a productive role overall — even though she might not ever be of top presidential timber.

  2. Very, very informative overall,, Parick!…
And I agree how significant numbers of people might read something, but most do not make a comment…
I appreciate your overall insights, comments and posts…

  3. Yes, they, as in Republican Blue Bloods and Country Club types certainly do, after all is said and done appear to be “End justifies the means ” types. Also known as Utilitarianism…

Mainstream Conservatives tend more toward a Kantian type of thinking.

    • So perceptive, Patrck, in connecting Kantianism to the motivations of mainstream conservatives… Not since long ago had I reviewed Immanuel Kant, and this gave me the pleasant and informative opportunity to return to him… Thank you!

    • Actually, Pan Am, I started blogging because of the very differences in philosophy that seem to be at the forefront, at the time. Shall we deliver ourselves via the loss of some few Freedoms and Liberties for some small amount of security?
I chose Liberty and Freedom. Along with a rather direct, and logical interpretation of the Second Amendment.
The post facto result is that I run a blog that is primarialy devoted to Second Amendment issues…

My Outdoors and Wildlife articles actually get more hits.

But commentary? When I make a post about fishing a particular stream? I get a gazillion hits. And perhaps a single comment.

When I make a post about changing the rules of life? Say..? Ex Post facto Law? As in The Lautenberg Domestic Violence Act..? I am a sexist, and I forget what all else…

      Be well Friend.
