Person of the Week: Harry Alford (calls President Obama a “Marxist” and “Brownshirt”)

For various reasons, as previously has been written on this page and others, President Obama will most likely win re-election in 2012 because he has the Black vote in his back pocket and this constituency will vote almost 100% for him, as it did in 2008…  But some  Black Americans such as Mr. Alford (president and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce)  take a different view of Obama and he reportedly will not simply vote for Obama racially in-lockstep — could people such as he create a problem for the president?…

Cutting-to-the-chase, though, regardless of how badly the economic wellbeing of  Black Americans has particularly deteriorated under Obama, how many Black Americans actually will vote in the presidential election based on something other than race?…

Only a relative handful?…

  1. It is simply too early to be projecting a winner for the 2012 Presidential election. I believe that a truly conservative Republican (who has admittedly yet to appear) would serve to unite all of us who yearn for firm and sensible leadership.

  2. Osama meeting his Middle East “Waterloo” certainly appears to be helpful to the President Obama in the shortrun but will it help him get re-elected?
All things remaining as have been written previously on this page and in others, the killing will help the president in his re-election campaign — especially if the Republicans fail to unify rather quickly and waste their money destroying each other in the primaries, as Margaret has suggested…

  3. The killing of Osama helps the USA military. And helps Obama in his re-election.

  4. No one Republican candidate can unite the Republicans and that is another reason Obama will win again, Republicans will destryoy each other.
